Here are steps to follow to set up a standard portfolio that get you the job.

1.Curate High Quality Work

Quality always trumps quantity. Select projects that highlight your core skills and strengths with aim for a diverse set of pieces that demonstrate the range of your capabilities but ensure they’re all polished, professional while adding the story behind it.

2.Build a Clean Design

Ensure your portfolio is easy to navigate, with a simple layout and intuitive structure. The design should reflect your style but stay professional and if it’s a website make sure it’s responsive.

3.Present Case Studies

Instead of just showing the final product, include detailed case studies that explain your process, how did you approach the project? What were the challenges, and how you did solve them? This gives insight into your problem solving and critical thinking skills.

4.Use Social Proof

If you have worked with clients, include their testimonials. Positive feedback demonstrates that others trust you and can vouch for your skills. And add other achievements like: Award, promotion and contribution to a project success.

5.Use Easy, Clear Call To Action

Make it easy for visitors or viewer to reach you with a simple contact form, email link, or even social media buttons. Don’t bury your contact info in hard to find places.

Now it is time to go and make a standard portfolio that will get you your next contract.
